Here we are in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on a second Blizzard. As a Realtor I can work from almost anywhere, armed with my Iphone, laptop, online data base, MLS, and 3 other remote offices to choose from I think its pretty safe to say I have my customers well taken care of and informed. I have had some pretty good snow days from the home office, and even at the snow covered office on Reno during all of this white flalvorless snow cone. Its times like this when people hit the computers and search for homes or start researching how to buy or sell. I listed a house that was a FSBO, picked up 3 sets of buyers and even wrote a couple of offers during all of this. So yes people are actually still driving around through all of this, I have not however shown any homes during all of this, I did show a property on a Saturday, and went to let a home inspector in and an appraiser. I have canceled a few showings and listings due to the weather. I think showing homes in bad weather is dangerous and makes entering a sellers home difficult sometimes dirty. Your going to have wet feet and unless you want to take your shoes off everytime you enter a home or track dirt through the sellers home. Unless you know its the house for you or you are in a competitive market I can understand but the housing market will still be there when it gets a bit nicer.
